Elm is an independent project building a workspace for notes and docs. There's a free tier, and the paid tier is just $3/month.
Get in early. I'm still building and would love your feedback.

In this economy I've been trying to cut costs wherever I can so I built a workspace for myself. It turned out pretty decent and I figured others might want something similar at a low cost. I figure $3/month should cover storage and everything needed to keep it running.
Your notes are safely stored with automated daily backups and AES-256 encryption at rest. The app is still in early development so things might break but with daily backups it would be difficult to truly lose your data.
Yes. I'm working on multiple export formats that match other platforms so you can take your data wherever you want if you decide this isn't for you.
You share a page by entering someone's email and choosing view or edit access. The person you share with needs to have an Elm account to access it. This might change in the future but at this stage in development it's the simplest way to keep things secure.
Elm is built for individual users. If you need team collaboration features there are better tools for that. Just being honest. I'm focused on giving solo users a solid affordable workspace.
There are really three things. First, keep the price affordable, always at a fraction of what competitors charge. Second, keep feature bloat at bay. New features will be thoroughly considered and only added if highly requested, and even then I'll add the ability to turn them off in settings so they don't clutter up your UI. For example unless highly requested and without adding to the cost I don't see myself adding AI. Third, be a worker co-op. Right now it's just me, but if I ever need to hire, I want everyone to have equal say in where the product goes and how the company is run. I genuinely think people do their best work when they have a real voice, and I think that makes for a better product.
